Changing Cars

Featured Replies

It only allows me to use the first car. If I try to cycle through the cars they don't appear. When that happens I have to debug the scripts to get him to move. The graphics will start to disappear. The graphics also start to unrender and disappear if i play for over 10 minutes. Some times less. Please help.

Enable "PreloadAllModels" in your FirstResponse config located in your "scripts" folder. You most likely have installed high-poly vehicles which can be too much for the game. The PreloadAllModel feature fixes most cases of your issue.

Would this slow the game?

It MIGHT slow down the game if you have a low-end pc. There are many topics about PreloadAllModels, feel free to search them on the forums.

Thank you. That helped with the cars but do you know what I can do for the disappearing graphics.

Maybe try lowering down your graphic settings? That may help.

i had that too i think its because you run out of memory...try some commandlines that helped me. as well as a programm called cacheboost.

My system:

:

Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU E8200 @ 2.66GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.7GHz

3,5 GB Ram (4 but i ran a 32 bit version of win 7)

ATI Radeon HD 4650

with commandlines and cacheboost i can run gta4 on mid settings with els and modded cars xD it still happens sometimes but most of the time everything works good
