Yes :( Maybe my game isnt registering that the mods folder exists?

It should as long as u have the ASI LOADER installed which OPENIV does automatically.  Make sure u have that ASI LOADER file in your ROOTGTAV folder.

Have u gone to steam and right clicked on GTA5 go to properties and verify the integrity of the game cache?

Post up a screen shot of your ROOTGTA5 folder.

Plus try without a MODS folder in OPENIV.  As long as u back up each file u mess with u will be ok.

Why do u have the SKD folder in there?  Do u create mods?

What r those 2 RPH readme files?

Take out the LMSCOMMON.dll from your ROOT FOLDER.   That file should only be in the plugin folder.

Did u check the INTEGRITY OF THE GAME CACHE?

Have u tried without a MODS folder?

i made a mistake ...  PUT BACK the LMSCOMMON.dll file back into your ROOTGTA5 folder if u took it out.  MY BAD

I think the SDK file came with my auto install of LSPDFR, no i do not mod, and the 2 read mes are about SDK, yes i checked integrity, and if i remove the mods folder and just put the textures in the regular updates or X64e files the game crashes. But if i put it in the updates or x64e Within the Mods folder i created the game launches but the skins do not show. :/

Spot On! Works for me fine without issues. Placing all models in the latest dlc patch is a more organised and tidier option I feel - Great Advice.

Is that models or skins, Im talking about repalcing the skins on already existing vehicles. DO you put the models in the newest patchday (patchday8) within GTAV\updates\x64\dlcpacks? or are you placing vehical skins in the newest patchday? And is your Updates folder in the GTAV root or is it in a Mods folder which is in the GTAV root?

Kevbot AKA Kevin

UPDATE/x64/dlcpacks/patchday8\dlc/x64\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf.

thats is the path man

GTA5 ROOT is the folder within your C:drive

OPENIV is the program that opens the game files allowing u to alter the files.

Adding cars must be done through OPENIV.  the path is above in the first line

Some mods come with the skins only which require u to open them through a different path and open the file up so u can alter the texture files.

understand?

I put all my vehicle mods into Grand Theft Auto V\update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday8ng\dlc.rpf. I used a modded folder within ModManager. If its a just a texture I wanted to change on a vehicle I already have I would simple replace the corresponding files in the above RPF for the required vehicle.

Obviously If I see a texture that I like on a vehicle I don't have, I would place the original vehicle files into the above RPF and then simply replace the relevant texture files accordingly by instruction of the Read Me.

Also just to point out, I use ModManager(Bilago) for everything which has honestly smashed my head into pieces at times - when trying to figure out RPF's and adding cars etc....although now it works great for everything - I can forward a few useful vidlinks if this could be of any use to you.

Also just to add If I wanted to add textures on a Vanilla Vehicles In game - I would locate the original vehicle file location and simply replace it there, or possibly copy the original files of the vehicle and paste into update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday8ng\dlc.rpf. Then replace the texture files in there. I haven't tried this personally so added clarification should be considered, but i'l give it a go myself later. But please for gods sake back everything up first!

Good Luck

The videos are for assistance with ModManager and rpf's, however if your not familiar with ModManager I would seriously consider whether or not you wanna go down that route as it can be confusing, stressful and frustrating. However once mastered - works well.
