Police 4 not changing

Featured Replies

I've been trying to change police 4 model for weeks.. I've tried many different models but when I add it to Open4 it shows the model I added, when I go to gta and load it the stock model spawns.. I have no idea why it would do this. I'm not having any other problems with other models besides police4 at this time... Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas?

I have no clue either, I've even reset the files and everything going back to fresh and still nothing. I know that I'm doing it right it's just not working.

Well I've been 2 of them. I posted the other day and didn't get much reply. Could it be a bad vehicles.meta file or carvariations.meta?

What version of the game are you using? It could be possible that the launcher is re-downloading the vanilla files back if you're using DVD or RockstarGames Werehouse version of GTA 5.

I'm using the updated steam version. I don't think that would be the problem since other added models in police, police2, police3, sheriff, and sheriff2 are working..

I'm having troubles with police4 too. The car I added in x64e shows up, but only a couple lights work on lightbars. I'm thinking it might be carvariations.meta. It's under update/x64/dlcpacks/mpchristmas2/dlc/common/data. I used an already pre-made carvariations file to replace old one and I think that's what did it, but I don't have a back-up carvariations file and don't know what to edit in file

If you have the mods folder with openIV you need to add it to that too.Default I think in the mods folder is x64e.Mods folder will spawn whatever you put in it.If you just delete it like I did then you shouldn't have problem

I found another post and someone posted this for fix and it worked for me. Not sure if it would help you, but I thought I'd still post.

"Had the same issue on the police4 slot, here is what fixed it for me.

Goto Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\mpluxe\dlc.rpf\common\data, open the carvariations.meta and add the following part.

Grand Theft Auto V\update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday3ng\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf\

I noticed Police2 didn't update until I changed it within this directory, Police4 isn't in it though, could be in a similar location?

I found out what was wrong guys. I was only updating x64e in the main directory and not the x64e in the mods folders in open4 like M90 suggested. Thanks man!
