Alright! I just come back from the premiere that was today in France. I won't spoil any plot part, but I'll still put in spoilers my thoughts on the movie!

The movie itself was decent. J. J. Abrams proved that he had the talent to produce a Star Wars movie. The atmosphere is totally there. However, the plot seemed a bit rushed to me, especially some parts that could seem a bit WTF when you think about it twice, but not too much of a big deal at the end. On the other "bad" side, there's -a lot- of Episode IV inspiration out of it, but the trailer and rumors let think of that already. For the technical part, the use of CGI is at its strict minimum, and that's exactly what fans wanted, and it looks great. The 3D is decent but not really overwhelming, just a bit of a gadget like most movies. On the plus side, the acting is really great, those new figures really impressed me, especially Daisy Ridley.

But overall, definitely worth watching if you're a Star Wars fan or just like Star Wars in general.

What the heck is up with the plot? It's just Episode IV all over again except it's worse. Much worse. Kylo Ren's anger issues, while creating some amusing scenes, completely shattered his aura of being an evil villain and just made him look like a baby throwing a tantrum. I know it's hard to match Darth Vader's character but come on, Kylo was completely pathetic in my eyes. And who the hell is Snoke? Where'd he come from? Sigh. Perhaps I expected it to be more in-line with the other films.

Whatever. The effects were top notch but if you like the original movies, I'd avoid this and just watch the originals instead. There's literally nothing new here apart from some of the characters and there's nothing remarkable about any of them unfortunately.
