The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Would any of you kind people be willing to walk me throught installation.

Alright guys, I'm really embarrassed to say this and I REALLY didn't want to have to make this post.

BUUUUUUT, I've been trying to install the LSPDFR mod for a total of 12 hours now (that's right, 12 hours).......... I've watched countless YouTube videos, have read numerous online forum posts, and have tried EVERYTHING in my power to get this mod to work! .... I have ran into TONS of weird issues and ultimately ended up corrupting my game files, So I am currently downloading a fresh install of GTA V.

When this is done installing I am going to make a second copy of the game to mod and then I'm going to bed.... I really don't want to struggle another 12 hours with this mod and I would really love it if someone was willing to walk me through the installation through Skype or TeamViewer.

My Skype username is XXmobsmasherXX (made it when I was like 13, don't judge LOL) PLEASE shoot me a message on steam or reply to this thread if you are willing to help me install over this weekend!

Well, I honestly never thought installing LSPDFR was all that difficult. If I remember right, all you do is drag and drop the files into your directory and that was it.

  • After you finish downloading GTA. Download the latest RAGE plugin hook. Drag and drop those files into your directory (Where your gta.exe is)
  • Then right click on the RAGE application, run it as an administrator, it will go through its first time checklist and messages. Make sure everything is checked green. If not, download the necessary stuff.
  • After you get in game, exit GTA and download and install LSPDFR, there is a readme file that will explain where everything needs to be installed.

That's basically it. I can try to give a more detailed explanation if you need it.

Also, just for future reference. If you have the Steam version of GTA, you can just use the "verify integrity of game cache" option. Its about 98% quicker than doing a fresh install of the entire game. This will fix any files that are corrupt.

Just a side note, you said don't judge your Skype username "xxmobsmasherxx" and your LSPDFR's forum name is "BootyFabricator" I find this rather comical lol.

Hahahaha thanks so much man, BottyFabricator was a randomly generated username so I just rolled with it on all my shit. Booty is good....... problem is I did all of that and had a shit load of issues, but I will try again tomorrow.

I also plan on adding some files to change the way the police cruiser looks and add some more callouts.... doesn't that mean I will need to have ScriptHookV and ScriptHookVDotNet along with Open IV installed.... I'm thinking about just downloading the mod manager and having that do all the dirty work for me, does that sound like a good or bad idea

Mod manager is up to you. I feel as I have been gifted and I have never had a problem installing cars and plugins *knock on wood*. If you do install custom cars. I would highly suggest creating a "Mods" folder, then copy the "update" folder from your directory and paste it in the Mods folder. Then install OpenIV and ASI manager through the OpenIV application (These will point towards the Mods folder). When you install cars, install them through the Mods folder. It just makes it easier to revert back to vanilla if needed.

I would suggest getting ScriptHookV, but its not needed for simple plugins or vehicles.
