Can't install LCPDFR

Featured Replies

Hello,

First of all, I'd like to start off with saying I have searched a lot but couldn't find a proper solution.

Installation component 'LCPDFRModels' error'd! at System.String.Insert(Int32 startIndex, String value) at G17MediaSetupEngine.Installation_Components.tazershit.beginComponent() at G17MediaSetupEngine.UI.Interface.wizardControl1_SelectedPageChanged(Object sender, EventArgs e) at G17MediaSetupEngine.UI.Interface.wizardControl1_SelectedPageChanged(Object sender, EventArgs e)

I'd found loads of topics telling me to to turn off read-only. So I have turned off read-only of the folder "Grand Theft Auto IV" and attempted to re-install LCPDFR. It gave the same errors. The same happens when I run this as administrator. It still gives these errors.

I seriously don't know why this is happening - don't reply to say there are already loads of topics like this because I have properly searched but nothing worked.

Yours sincerely,

Jochem

Check that the readonly is actually turned off. Sometimes when you just click OK without pressing apply, it reverts is back to its original state.

Also, are you on a administrator account as the program files can only be changed by a administrator meaning if your on a limited user account, your changes may not take effect.

I am the only account, and admin. It indeed returns to read-only, how can I fix that?
