modded cars issue even after setting up OpenIV.asi/mods folder

Featured Replies

hey i know im probably doing something stupid wrong but im trying to mod a couple cars into GTA V. i noticed the post on openiv`s website of how to set up a mods folder. after following every step in the guide carefully i tried to mod in the car i downloaded from this site. I fixed the issue where the game updates after installing mods as the game just starts right up now rather than patching the game however, the vehicle is still the default one. I double checked everything on the openiv post and everything seems to look good i have the asi loader and openiv.asi installed and im following the instructions for the specific vehicle im trying to put into the game (chevy impala by bxbugs). Anyone have any suggestions or what to do different?

GTA V has a lot of data duplication. Make sure you've replaced the right model. There are, for example, several instances of "police3". Only 1 is in use by the game.

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

Yea there was 4 total files that i had to replace. it was police2.yft, police2.ytd, police2_hi.yft, police2+hi.ytd and the modded files are still good in the mods folder (i checked the files and there still all the correct sizes)
