New PC

Featured Replies

I know this guy from high school that might be able to build a PC for me, but I'm not totally sure yet.

Here are the parts https://pcpartpicker.com/user/fatfluffycat/saved/#view=PkzcCJ

Should I get a aftermarket(that's what there called right?) CPU fan or will the stock one be enough. I might get a SSD as well, any suggestions?

I'm going to use my GTX 750 for now, but I'll upgrade to something nicer this summer.

Get a 650 watt power supply for future proofing, the CX model you have is the lower end of the Corsair line of power supplies.

You could also get away with not buying a dvd drive and then just use the dvd drive thats in your current computer, I have even heard that you can buy Windows 10 on a usb flash drive.

To save a list, there should be a "Save As" button near the top when viewing your parts.

if you can squeeze in an extra $100, this would be killer: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/f7z6wP I do not know about the value of the dollar incredibly well, but I think it is a little less than the pound. Explanation:

The SSD is incredibly fast, and will boot up in seconds. Samsung is very quality im SSDs.

The PSU is SeaSonic, and is very quality. The PSU is the most important, I cannot stress enough how important it is, cheap out on it and it could fry your whole pc D: 620W is more than enough for any upgrades.

I chose a slightly cheaper (and a little better colour-schemed) Intel H87 motherboard, since the CPU cannot be overclocked therefore you do not need Z97 (for overclockers). It also has good functionality.

RAM is RAM, nothing new there.

The CPU is actually quite strong; if you pair it with a good GPU you can get 60FPS on ultra/very high in GTA 5.

If you want to get a new GPU, i recommend the MSI GTX 970, or for a littler lower budget the MSI GTX 960 4GB. Or you could go with another company, but avoid Asus.

Don't be put off by the price tag of the bild I made, it is very much worth it for the price. Happy gaming :)
