Pretty interesting to learn about the "real" Sandy Shores. The Salton Sea is basically a resort town gone awry, leaving behind what is essentially a wasteland and an ecological disaster.

On a related note, lets take a moment to appreciate how well Rockstar recreated the area. They pretty much nailed the surrounding areas of the Salton Sea.

I seen a ton of videos on this because I enjoy watching disaster videos & figured I was the only one...I never thought of GTA 5 when I watched these videos but this was way before gta 5 came out. Cool that we both think this is a great resemblance. R* did a good job but I like hanging out in the desert so i wish they would make a "back in time" dlc where it was highly active & nice.
