is this a lost cause? is there no other way to download this plugin?

    The download works fine for me. Try clearing your cache, using a different browser, and/or disabling any ad blocking extensions (these may block the verification that you need to pass in order to download files).

    Thanks A lot!! it worked by downloading CHROME browser.
