Lol yet another reason why I love this game so much.

So I was walking back to my car after my backup arrested a guy. Some douchebag ran into me, then freaked out and darted off. I then began a chase. After all, hit and run on a law enforcement officer is not something I can ignore.

This guy drives off erratically, desperately trying to avoid that type of charge. I call for back up and pursue. Then, a little while into the pursuit and as I begin to lose him, a code 99 is called. I never ignore them because IT COULD BE YOU. Code 99s require all officers to assist. So what do I do? Ignore the code 99 where a person(s) is shooting officers or pursue the guy who ran me over?

I call for backup and air support and decide to go for the code 99 of course.

The code 99 suspects shoot at me so I maintain a distance and after calling in backup and the SWAT multiple times, I realized this:

 

 

LOL that is right, I have backup pursuing BOTH! It appears they got the original hit and run guy(left) as that blip has not moved in a few seconds, and it also appears the SWAT pursued him instead so I will need to call them again, but this is amazing! I thought that douche was going to get away. Usually from my experience the other pursuit gets away because the backup goes to you. I just experienced this a little earlier with speed racers. This was not the case now. Very refreshing!

Anyone else have the pleasure of having backup at multiple scenes?

I am still in pursuit on the code 99, but I just had to stop and share this! :)

I believe if you call in backup as code 3 instead of pursuit they will come directly to you and decide what to do from there instead of joining any pursuits.

 

 

But yeah, I've had this happen on a few street race events where there are two suspects so I call in a helicopter and chase the one the helo doesn't, catch him and then join the pursuit on the other suspect. Too much fun!

For me two pursuits at one call usually happen when there's two occupants in one vehicle and they get out and run. At some occasions my backup prefers to follow me instead of pursuing the other, but usually they do the job.
