Increasing environment reflection on emergency lights?

Featured Replies

Has anyone figured this out yet? I know that in GTA IV we had a visualsettings.dat mod that was used in conjunction with ELS that made the emergency lights reflect off of entities at a much further distance. The vanilla emergency lights in GTA V look great, but the reflection sucks. It only reflects off of objects within a few meters of the sides of the car. I looked through all of the parameters in the visualsettings.dat file (common.rpf/data/visualsettings.dat) and can't find anything to increase that really stands out. It would just be a lot more realistic if we could get them to reflect off of everything within like 2 city blocks like they do in reality.

Any ideas are appreciated

Edit: Sorry, maybe this should have been in the modding discussion forum.

I remember I once looked into this for GTA IV, along with Iconography, we never found a solution and determined that it was hard coded into the game. The same probably applies to GTA V. I don't think it's easily accessible.
