GTA V Low FPS

Hi, so I recently bought a nvidia gtx 970 hoping my game would record at 60 fps on low settings atleast! But, I can't even record in 30 fps on 1920 x 1080 on all low settings. The games losses fps and stutters. But at any other resolution I can record at 30 fps plus. PLS HELP! This is a serious problem because I want to bring good quality content to my viewers. Also I can record in 720p but after rendering it to 1080p it loses quality. I also have 8gbs of ram which could be the problem because I open my task manager and it says I was using 37% while not running the game. I calculated the mbs and it is barley 2gbs of ram used. And I have an amd fx 8320. PLS HELP ME!

What windows have you got installed if it's 7 i had the same issue with my 980 TI until i upgraded to windows 10 again.

i only get 40 fps maxed settings that's because my cpu is so low end and bottlenecking.

It depends on what CPU you have, I currently have a Core 2 Quad, so if I was to throw in a 970, it'd probably throw about 50% of the performance it could.

Download and install MSI Afterburner or GPU-Z to show your VRAM usage, if it's over 3.5 GB's on the 970, it'll slow right down.

Same here. A EVGA GTX 970 2.0. On normaal settings in daylight I get 35-40 fps and ad night time 40-50fps. It's horrible! I have a new Intel I5, 8GB.

Read my above reply, post the results from it.

It went not over the 3,5 GB's.

The funny thing is that if I lower the settings I dont get more fps.

Strange, what game version are you running? Are you running with RAGE? If so, how many RAGE scripts are loaded?

Running the latest version. I have RAGE with callout plugins, and 3 others. Nothing more.

Even when I'm in the lowest resolution I'm still getting 40fps ;(

I had the same issues until I updated to RPH 24 and installed VisualV.  Now I hold a constant 60 fps.  I have noticed, however, that GTA V acts a little weird with the 970 every now and then.
