Quality mods being made?

Featured Replies

Hello all,

It's been a little while since vehicle mods have been supported for GTA V, yet I'm not really seeing any high quality mods being made for the game, I expected a huge influx of many different Ford Crown Victoria's and Dodge Chargers, seeing as there are many for GTA IV (obviously not a direct port over, but the original purchased models being imported and converted for GTA V). But, thus far there seems to have been very little progress, there's a 2015 charger (which to my knowledge neither the LAPD, LASD or CHP use) and two Ford Crown Vics, but still no argent light bars or any accuracy for the LAPD.

I've heard that because Zmoddler doesn't support locking models that the authors aren't releasing vehicles simply because they'll be stolen, is this the reason for the lack of mods or are there authors working on them with intent to release them but I've just completely missed them? If people are aware of authors creating LA emergency vehicles which are accurate could you please inform me, so that I don't remain ignorant. Are authors waiting for the release of ELS to then develop their models around that or is it that it is currently too difficult to convert vehicles?

Regards

SeaHawk

Well i guess it is going to take some more time for high quality mods. A good modder is going to be shure to hand out a almost perfect model. What happend trough the last 2 Weeks is just the beginning. I see some more patience coming down the road XD ;)

It kind of stinks that in the gallery, we see things like beautiful CVPI's, a Ford Police Interceptor and the utility variant, etc. But nobody seems to want to release them out of fear of them getting stolen? Seems a bit ridiculous in my opinion. After all, it is just a video game.

I've just seen those images in the gallery, the utility and the PI, as well as the 2nd gen LX Charger! They're so beautiful and suit the game so much, but I doubt they'll be released which is a crying shame

Yes, I feel sorry for them because they pay for the models (which are quite expensive) and the least someone can do is give credits for their hard work, but at the same time the people who steal them create models for the entire GTA community. So it's bad that they get stolen, but at the same time lots more gets done because one guy cannot create all the requests.

Yes, perhaps, I haven't really followed much of the LSPDFR forums so I've missed what's happened in the last two months. Hopefully with some more time all the LA vehicles start getting released

This is exacly how I feel. We've all seen it with the Charger and the CVPI's; as soon as they were released, tons of new skins came out. Which is fantastic! Imagine how great the modding community would be if a bunch of models were released. There would be skins, vehicles with all sorts of equipment setups, etc.
