HELP Texture Editing & Mapping

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I just started basic texture editing yesterday, i begin to understand the logic. Now I am trying to make my own, complete re-texture for the Sheriff Cruiser.
Here is my problem: I have no real idea how to place the elements so they can fit correctly on the model. I read numerous topics on the forums but I haven't found/understood how to deal with this.

Can someone help me with that? Where to find a mapping of this model?
I am using Photoshop for the .png file, is there a layer of some sort that can be used easily?

Thanks

Personally, I used the template provided with the model. If there's none in the files, try to download other skins for the vehicle you're interested in. Hopefully, you'll be lucky enough to find a template included in the download.

If not, you can edit the png itself, using it as a model to produce your own skin.

Also, be sure the model you're working on is already mapped so that your skin can be displayed correctly.

So far, I haven't touched to the ambulance model, I don't know if there's any templated ambulance.
