Good evening! I hope you can help me. After a long time I finally purchased a new computer gaming systems. I have wanted to play lcpdfr for years! Ok I installed gta4 via steam. I followed all info and tutorials and loaded lcpdfr. I even was able to get three police uniforms and cars. I was extremely excited! I do not have a trainer just lcpdfr and five police cars and police uniform. When I run game as administrative it loads. My issues are these when I drive around buildings will be disappear, I hit pull over button know one pulls over, not many cars on streets lots of cabs, the police shot and killed me and I am a cop! How can I fix this and what other mods would recommend  ? I am begging for help like I said I have been waiting for years to play this and am just bummed out! 

If buildings are disappearing, remove your police cars, IV can't seem to handle over 4/5 MB .wft's for me.

Well that's sucks! I bought this new computer with an amazing graphics card and everything and your telling me that I cant even mod that cars to get LCPDFR to work for GTA 4?

No, you just need to choose more optimised ones, like I said, if the .wft file is over 4MB, don't bother trying.
Also, what are your system specs, did you buy it prebuilt?

Three of the 5 cars I down loaded the WFT file is like 4.5 or 5.0 are you saying I should get ride of those? the issues I am having is that buildings disappear, I cant pull people over or give tickets things like that.

If building are disappearing, then the model is too big. If you spawn the vehicle through a trainer or LCPDFR, is that when it disappears?

I did not down load the trainer because I could not find it. I hit shift p and then go to police station. get uniform, then go to the cars. when I pick one of the cars I drive around but buildings disappear and I cant pull people over. if the cars should be under 4mb wft files, how come there are so many with over 4 wft? if I need a trainer can you tell me where I get one? do you think I should get different cars?

Try starting off with some of the GTA V conversions, they are generally just over a MB

Try Yard1's LCPD car pack, considering you are already getting texture loss, Traffic Load/Flow is a no go.

ok my friend. I changed cars and have been playing for an hour. No crashing (fingers crossed) lol buildings are fine now but all the darn cabs and only like 1 or 2 cars. what should I upload now? Braveheart and a traffic mod? what about the hand held thing? any help you can give would be great. I feel like I am really close now due to your help.

If you want to, you can download TrafficLoad from here and try it, if you get texture loss with that though, then your just going to have to leave it.

so I messed up again. I placed the ped in the playerped.rpf file instead of the compoentpeds.im folder and now my game is crashing. How can I fix this is I forgot to save?

Reinstall the game (or verify integrity of game cache if on steam)

I have the game on steam. What and where do I go to verify everything? Like I said, my son and I have wanted to play this for years and could really use some help with all this. Is there a lcpdfr button to check that everything is running properly or if there is a bug causing the issues? 

You'd have to ask somebody with the steam version.
The LCPDFR Diagnostic Tool wouldn't help, since you've overwrote files.
