Lightbar/lights disappear when too far away

Featured Replies

Hello!

I recently got into LCPDFR as I don't have GTA V for PC yet and I've got a small problem. Every time I get too far away from one of my police cars the lightbar (or the lights) disappears and it seems to put the car in some sort of "low detail stage" (not sure how to call it, see screenshots below). Even a few meters are already enough to trigger that.

I installed 3 custom police vehicles (Unmarked 2015 Mustang GT V1 , Cabot PD 2013 Dodge Charger PPV 1.0.0 and 2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor - Alabama State Trooper Remastered ) and the problem only occurs with the CVPI. I set the primary lights range to 80 meters and also slighty increased the range of all the other lights in the ELS.ini. All cars are compatible with ELS 8.51. I thought it might have something to do with the view distance or detail distance but wouldn't that affect all of the cars?

Screenshots: #1 is the way the car is supposed to look (it has blue lights and they're on). #2 is the one where the windows look kind of odd and the lights disappear and #3 is a comparison of all cars with lights on (it's difficult to capture the lights of the Charger but they are fully visible).

Does anybody know what causes this issue? I actually like the CVPI and the blue lights but it just doesn't look good if you can barely tell that it's a police vehicle because the lights pop in so late.

The lights disappear when you go far away because the creator of the vehicle did not check or create extra's of the L0's, I think that might be the issue. It can only be fixed by contacting the creator of the model and have them update it.
