I Want to Know Something...

Featured Replies

Hi all. So this is just a basic question to anyone wanting to answer or with knowledge on it. I look around the gallery from time to time, mainly to see works in progress, and I sometime come across some amazing fire truck models. However, they are always private and/or never going to be released. What I hate, is when people post these types of pictures to show off, almost as a tease, and it just gets on my nerves. I know I can't be the only one. They might not have that intent when posting the pictures but that's the usual outcome. And it always seems to be Pierce fire trucks. I always hear the excuse that there is copyright problems so that is why they can't be released. However, that makes no sense. Why is it that I can find those exact models released publicly for GTA SA? So why not GTA 4? Yeah, I could convert but I am no where near good enough to do so. And I highly doubt Pierce would take legal action against a creator of a 3d model of their truck made for gaming purposes. If anything, it's free advertising. I just find it odd, and I want to get down to the bare bones of it all. Please feel free to voice any opinion on what you guys think is the reason. I just want an answer that makes sense.
