You all know the problem of Retards trying to crash you in the GTA:IV MP. But there are several ways to protect yourself at least a bit.

 

• There are simple ASI Mods like Smart Defense 2 and Hallenberger Multiplayer Crash Protection but they are not effective to all players and are sometimes not working.
• Then there are Anticheats used by hackers loaded via DLL or in the network archive itself like Freeze Protection and Defender Mod.
• And last but not least there is Dont Get Tug-ED, a simple replacement of the Tuga boat that is often used to lag/crash innocent players. 

 

For me the Defender Mod is the best cause it has a Click-GUI and has really good protections (While i was running it i just got SMPA60 Errors related to my modded Vehicles) the negative point about it is that it is not Freeware (costs 2$ atm.) and it MAY caused my game stopped working after the trial expired!

 

What are you guys using to defend yourself? Im very interested in your opinions.

I just get back on and play as normal. sometimes i freeze people back. I don't have the best mods to do it though.
