The whole game crashes even when I don't load RPH.  I retry, retry, and retry in SAFE MODE.  It takes about 3 minutes because it takes so long until it says GRAND THEFT AUTO V has crashed.  I hope I didn't break my computer.

I have Steam and I have the latest version of Steam.  I tried to load into safe mode on GTA V which helped for sometime.  Now it doesn't load neither into regular mode or safe mode it just crashes.  

Okay i'm going to assume a file is missing somewhere, some how.  

 

Try this: Go into steam > Library > GTAV > Right click > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Cache. 

If a main file is missing or corrupted that should find it and replace it for you.  Let me know if this works or not.

It said 1 file is missing and needs to be required.

Okay it should be downloading it for you, also it seems that the latest ragehook is about to be released, however i suggest that you make sure your game runs normally before messing with any mods.

It never told me what the file was.  So I guess I shouldn't worry about finding out what it was, because it will replace it.  I will redownload LSPDFR and RPH.  Should I also redownload ScriptHookV too?  I haven't messed with any mods btw.

Do you mean GTV by itself or with Ragehook and LSPDFR?

 

If GTA V is not launching and it was working fine before there is something wrong with the game files.

I would try the following...

-> Remove any mods from your main directory, ScriptHookV, Ragehook and OpenIV, make sure you get all the files associated with it.  DO NOT REMOVE the asiloader or dinput8.dll this will cause your game to crash. You do not need to remove LSPDFR if you have it installed, since it only launches with ragehook if you remove ragehook LSPDFR files arn't a problem.

-> Try again, if its still not running try running the verify game cash again (I know you already did it once)

-> If it says your missing a file make sure it downloads, you should see at the bottom of steam something downloading (Dont think it will tell you the specific file but you could check)  ALSO (double check to make sure you have the downloads turn on, if you turned them off to prevent updates the file you were missing earlier may not have auto-downloaded)

-> If your getting any crash logs post them so we can narrow down the issue, its usually a text file in the main directory somewhere not sure what GTAV calls their logs.
