LSPDFR Idea

Featured Replies

I had some ideas floating around in my head and I’m not sure these are possible or not but let me know what you guys think about this.

Idea #1:  Have the computer start assigning tags to both suspects and back-up units, this way we can specify what unit we want to do a specific task.  In this example we will say we initiated a traffic stop with three suspects in the vehicle.  The vehicle then takes off you pursue and call in two local units, local air support and a state trooper.  The vehicle you pursue crashes and all three suspects then bolt in different directions.  We will say that Suspect 1 is the driver, suspect 2 is the front passenger and suspect 3 is driver side rear passenger.  Let’s assume that when we go into a navigation menu that franklins ability is activated so everything slows down.  Anyways we can then issue specific units to chase a specific target.

You Chase à Suspect 1

Local 1 & Local 2 à Suspect 2

Local Air 1 & State 1 à Suspect 3

Idea #2:  Let’s say idea #1 works, okay now still using the same example above (Traffic Pursuit).  You catch the driver and arrest them, Local 1 & Local 2 end up killing Suspect 2 and Local Air 1 and State 1 arrest suspect 3.

Instead of having everything disappear why not have the units remain on scene until you arrive to complete the investigation?  Since you are the “Lead” officer who initiated the traffic stop and who’s writing the report why not be given the option if the computer cleans up like normal or waits until you arrive on scene to do whatever.  We could for example have a message come up like the dispatch does and ask do you want the CPU to complete the arrest or wait.

NOTE:  Idea #2 really comes into play if you are able to still search dead bodies for ID or other items which would happen in any normal investigation.  This is more for role playing but would add a sense of realism to game.

Let me know what you guys think about this idea.

Future Abilities:

è Ask passengers for ID

è Detain suspects

è Search Vehicle/Pedestrians

è Search dead bodies for ID and other items such as drugs

è Ability to still talk to detained or Arrested Suspects

è Ability to assign units to task such as road blocks or to hang back with an abandoned vehicle

è Ability to conduct investigations on non-emergency callouts, place B.O.L after gathering info

è Ability to place a B.O.L after completing investigations (Need new type of callouts that involve investigations)

è Ability to shut down a road due to a crash/investigations etc.

Emergency Callouts:

è Attempted robbery suspect fleeing

è Attempted Robbery Suspect wounded/captured by civilian

è Strong arm robbery (Weapon involved)

è Public intoxication

è Domestic Fight

è Physical Altercation (fight)

è Shoplifting (Suspect Fleeing)

Non-Emergency Callouts:

è Reported Theft Civilian (Non-emergency) (Found after crime was committed, coming home from vacation etc.)

è Reported Theft Business (No alarm activated)

è Shoplifting (Suspect Detained)

è Suspicious activity

è Automatic Burglar Alarm / Security Alarm Activation

è Noise Complaint / Party on beach

I like this concept, especially when you have armed suspects or those involving two or more subjects and when you call backup almost always the secondary suspect is neglected and thus you loose the suspect. If you can assign specific units to a degree of different tasks then you cover the situation as a whole. Usually when a few units are chasing down someone on foot the other guy is in a vehicle jetting away and I arrive still in my car and then I just go and catch up to him instead.

I mentioned this in another thread but said that we should add the stop-sticks / spike-strips to the police radio so if in pursuit down the LS highway you can call a roadblock and or one with a ped-cop to throw out a spike strip to slow/stop the pursuit would be really good for the illegal street race down half the county.

Thanks i'm not sure if anyone from the team saw it or if its even possible but I can only hope.

I really like police radio but I hate having two separate interfaces working, right now the only thing I'm using is the tow-truck and at times the coroner portion.   If he can get it to work with the police computer I would be ecstatic.  I can't wait for K-9, CPR and the search ped/vehicle to be integrated together, that't if its still happening anyways.

I agree, I'm still a big proponent of wanting to have EMS as part of the radio because I've had to call EMS for a 10-50/auto accident before on patrol and not having it on the radio seemed a little odd.

Lol, you just reminded me of calling EMS in LCPDFR, ambulance flys past scene at 80mph running right down the sidewalk killing 43 civilians and 2 cops.   Thank god for a better AI that was absolutely terrible.

Are they not including EMS in the radio?  I know I would like to see auto accidents occur with response from Fire, EMS and Police.  I have seen some screenshots of mock accident scenes that looked pretty darn cool.

Right now, the officers that are in the pursuit just leave after the suspect is either arrested or deceased, which is annoying for some of us who wants them to stay so that we can roleplay a scene out of it. We should be able to tell the officers to leave or not, I agree. If there are multiple bodies on the highway after a pursuit, they should stay there until you say otherwise, call in homicide, get some barriers, and roleplay. :P

EDIT: at certain situaions backup seems to disappear instantly, sometimes their car just disappears.

No idea I'd ask FinKone, I would want one if it is done right but I'd hate to call the coroner every time there is a body on the ground and then see them reappear as a trashbag.
