It depends on the object, it can go anywhere from adding textures and materials to it to making LODs and COLs for. Be specific on what you are importing to get better answers.

ok for example traumapacks mirror lights. ingame are invisible. i figured i was missing some materials.

Ok follow my instructions carefully, first at the base name it to this exactly......base mesh. now under the base textures select the takin_led.png and click on edit. make sure that it's set as this....under blend operation set as MultiplyAdd. Under Arg2 set it as specular. Now go to the light name as name as....light mesh. Now in the second box under takin_led.png add the vehicle_generic_smallspecmap texture and configure it the same way you did the other texture and you're done......easy peasy

Side note, make sure you put a space between the words when you rename them or the game will not recognize them.

yea it worked thanks btw when would u add vehicle_generic_smallspecmap and when wouldn't you?

Always use it because it helps lower the amount of textures in your wtd. Each regular texture you use has a size which make both the wft and wtd file size bigger. So by using the veshare textures as much as possible it lowers the size and does not need to be imported into your wtd file. The game itself automatically loads the textures. So if you have an object that's using the same textures 2 or 3 times, replace those with the veshare textures. But never replace the first texture in the box.
