So I've been trying to get new peds and I went to openiv and edited the ones i wanted done but now when i get in the game the cops uniform if all messed up and i have no idea how to get the uniform i want them to wear to stay on. Can someone help please?

hello :) okay first thing you should ALWAYS do is when you go to install a uniform EXPORT the old uniform to the desktop. that way you can always put it back in if your new uniform is all crazy.

when you do a uniform there are two files. peddrop and componentped. one handles uniforms and the other usually handles the sunglasses and hats.

you can cycle through uniforms in the police station when you first start. cycle through the cops until you come to the "type" of cop you replaced.

if you would like me to be more specific please post the link to the uniform you want and i'll walk ya through it :)

yeah ill need more help lol so do you remove the textures from the orignal or what? Also i dont see any textures that come with it its only pictures and the duty belt it all good but the pants and shirt are messed up

hmm i installed it in my open IV and checked it out. it looks sweet actually. you installed only those top three files right? the my cop.wtf, my cop.wtd, and mycop.wdd files. and you installed them in pedprops?

if you installed them all you do is start the game. it replaces the first cop. so you should be able to go to Head and pick between heads and so on. if it looks bad graphically take a screenshot and lemme see what its looking like. some models are messed up. like i had one where the butt was missing off the pants so it looked like he didnt have a middle lol. if that is the case you just need to look for a different uniform :P

ya know i didnt really like that ped. i mean the uniform was nice but the one i replaced had like six different uniforms. so i put ended up putting this on the traffic cop. did you end up keeping it?

yeah i put it as the normal uniform and the traffic one i put the lapd uniform cause it looks like a normal patrol officer uniform maybe i should put the lapd as the normal and let the deputy uniform be the traffi one
