So i have been trying to get this mod downloaded for a few days now with no luck. everytime i load in after installation it gives me an error saying there was a problem loading a script (LCPDFR_Loader.Loader). Iv heard there is an error log that i could post that might make this easier for anyone to help me. but i completely removed steam, and gta form my computer for a fresh install. So my question is, what EXACTLY do i need to get this mod to work. Do i need to download 1.0 before i can get 1.1 to work? What other programs do i need to support this mod and how do i check if i have them already? Should i just try giving it another fresh install and if i have any problems report it here from the error log? Im very sorry for not being specific enough but if there is any information i could provide to make this easier it would be no problem at all. Thank you very much to anyone who has any kind of advice for this problem.

also do i need to apply the title update or does steam do that for me automatically? when it comes down to it i am pretty clueless to how this is going to work.

hello and welcome to the forum :) if you download from Steam you should have the correct version which is GTA IV 1.0.7.0. First make sure when you download GTA IV that you are able to run the game with no problems whatsoever. if you are able to run the game then make a backup copy and store it. that way anything we do from here on out wont matter too much.

then install LCPDFR automatically. make sure before you do that you disable your virus protection until after you have installed the police mod. some virus protections will block certain parts of the mod. make sure when you run the police mod that you are right clicking LaunchGTA.exe and running as administrator. start your GTA IV game and when it loads up and you are in the safehouse press the left Alt and P. That will start the mod for you and you will get a prompt at the top of the screen "Welcome to LCPDFR. Please report to the police station to start duty"

if you see that then technically you should be good to go. remember that you will have crashes of the game here and there..hopefully there is a decent amount of playtime in between crashes. but we're gettin ahead of ourselves :D let me know if you get your game going.

Well when i load into gta, in the top left corner it gives me a script error. i ran the diagnostic tool and it says "failed to resolve MSVCP110.dll fron" next system dependencies. for the 5th time i checked if i had all the other software needed (framework, directx, and all that) and it says unable to install because the same or newer version of it is already installed. Is there any kind of error log i should be posting that would make this easier? if so where could i find it? again i am so sorry for being absolutely clueless!!! and thank you for your reply

okay do this real quick. check your GTA IV folder and make sure that there is an Advanced hook.dll in there. it should be dated January 2,2015. then check to make sure you have Scripthook.dll in there also. it should be dated June 6, 2011. Those are usually two of the culprits of that error. they simply dont get installed somehow. if you dont have those in there download the MANUAL installation of LCPDFR and grab those files and drop those in your main GTA IV folder. then try and see what happens. lemme know if that helps or no
