For some reason I CANNOT edit ANY Grand Theft Auto 4 folders without a "Fatal Error". The folders that I cannot edit AT ALL are Activation, movies, Manuals, Support Links, common, pc. All of the folders I have listed are in the root GTA4 directory. Please help me!

Which Fatal Error do you get?

Just a normal FATAL ERROR message. No exact message

GTA IV doesn't usually give just Fatal Error, usually it provides a code.

Hmm do you mean you are trying to edit uniforms and such? If that is the case you will need to use Open IV.

If that is not the case is there any way you can copy a folder you wanna edit to your desktop? Edit it there and then replace the copy in your folder with that one.

If those do not help maybe give more information about exactly what you are trying to do and I'll try to help :)

Your log files are detecting a installation of LCPDFR 0.95 RC2.

Please make sure you have fully uninstalled 0.95 and install 1.1

Okay I just tried it, now I get the same error and I can't even start the game and I tried that it DOES not work.

okay i was looking up other things in anticipation of that not working. there are MANY people who have had this exact error but they are all solved differently. i will include a few of them to see which problem you are most likely having.

the only way you will be able to find which is for you is to try them until yours is fixed. i would recommend making a backup copy of your game while you try these because im guessing it might not be as easy as these people say :P a few of them have said that error means something is missing or corrupt. so its a guessing game at this point.

Okay thanks, but the mod I was trying to install was corrupt because it was a GTAV pc mod XD! I just installed a new one now and:
