Texturing for GTA V Help

Featured Replies

Hey, I been wanting to edit some of the liveries for the Stanier and other Police vehicles but I just can't figure it out. I have downloaded programs that edit GTA V textures but they are completely useless. I need a step to step process to access the texture files, get them, (I can edit them via Photoshop) and then put them back in.

1. Get the file you wish to edit from Open IV, for example: "s_m_y_cop_01.ytd".

2. Open it with the Texture Editer > Locate the file which you wish to edit > Export it to your computer.

3. Open the file (It will be a .dds file) with your chosen program [PhotoShop or Paint.net].

4.Edit the file.

5.Import back with the texture editer program > Save it.

6. Import back into Open IV,
