​Best thing to do is use a downgraded version at the moment.

​I haven't tried any mods yet or even dragged in script hook. But If i needed to, Steam doesn't allow me to disable updating. Does putting it in offline mode do the trick?

    ​That's what I have been doing, keeping steam in offline mode.  Trying to stay a patch behind so the scripthook has time to update for any new surprise patches.

    ​yeah I think they changed it, game wont launch for me either now unless I am on the internet.  At least I haven't been banned for using single player mods.
