Do you have the game on Steam? If so have you tried verifying the integrity of your game cache? You can do so by right-clicking the game in your inventory and selecting Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity Of Game Cache.

you are running out of video ram that might be why your having this problem. Try lowering your resolution and play on a lower one and see what happens.

​First step i would take is to disable the high res shadows. Second try direct x10.

What system specs do you have?

Update your drivers. If that doesn't work, you're exceeding your VRAM. Lower some settings.

That is peculiar...I run over my VRAM and I never had this issue. I would assume it has something to do with the way your system is running. Perhaps your card is overheating? I dunno.
