GTA 5 Rockstar Clip Editor crashing for no reason

Featured Replies

Hey. ^^

I'm currently trying to edit a a few clips and put them together. I think I have a decent result already. ^.^

However, it doesn't work very well. Sometimes (actually very often) it crashes/freezes when I either set an editing marker or play the clip, etc. and it's fuqin annoying.

Has anyone experienced that? What can I do?

Do you have the game on Steam? If so have you tried verifying the integrity of your game cache? You can do so by right-clicking the game in your inventory and selecting Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity Of Game Cache.

Okay. In that case I can only think of re-installing the game.

Posting your PC specs could also be useful.

I think it was the pair of clips that was damaged. It doesn't happen with all clips, but with a lot of them.

Just in case:

GTX750TI

16GB RAM

AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core-Processor

Well your specs are clearly not the problem. If it only happens with certain clips they could be corrupted. I haven't personally used the Editor so I don't know how exactly it works, but that sounds like a likely explanation.

No way to solve it other than re-recording the clips. Clips go corrupt every now and then (it's rare though).

Also don't reply to topics that haven't received replies for more than 30 days, this one is older than a year.

Sorry for that, but theme is wery specific. It is not known how much time I would have waited for a response, creating a new topic.

I try re-record clip in "Hotel Room", but clip gets corrupted too. And LSPDFR chases become corrupted. Something damaged, and i can't understand what exactly broken.

Yeah I just experienced that with two clips earlier today, strange

I literally replicated (and filmed) a very similar event and I managed to use the new clip without any issues..

Problem is how you Edit your videos. You Are filmning in a way that is to complicate for rockstar editor to handel. Like producing videos for youTube for your subscribers requirement filmning in differents Angles crushing in Wall or under floor with script in gta5 direktor mapp. Just same clip Edit again and control it before screen recording you Whole projekt then all be fine!

When you press Edit Camera Button... The you need to be carefull and control your clip that there is no obstacle that produce your clip be corrupted

Moving parts should not crash with Edited Camera
