LCPDFR 1.1 Callouts Trouble

Featured Replies

Recently I've discovered that when I attempt to respond to an LCPDFR/Wasteland Callout I crash upon arrival. I also am experiencing issues receiving callouts as well. So far I have tried cranking up the multiplier as well as bringing down the max time, neither have shown results. Upon checking my install with the Diagnostic Tool it came to my attention that there is a problem in the log files. I've tried reinstalling LCPDFR 1.1 but that has not worked as well. GTA IV and LCPDFR work fine aside from the callout issues I have been experiencing. Any help would be much appreciated.

Mods/Scripts Installed:

LCPDFR 1.1

ELS v8

Wastelands Callouts

Radar Gun

Traffic Flow

vdH Policehelper

(Callouts only work for about 5-20 minutes once on duty)

I dont really know alot about crashing upon responding to a callout, but its worth giving my idea's a try. In the past the callouts crashed a few times, today only the shots fired crashes (which i am trying to fix), but i suggest cranking down the graphics, i dont really know how it helps (Exept if the callout is always disregard) but cranking down the graphics always helps. Try installing and using this tool, it always a game to use over 2GB so it can run smoother, and it makes GTA IV more stable.

Once you download it, select the GTA.exe (In the root folder or if you have a shortcut on your desktop) and check the little box and hit the big button, i think thats going to help too. Maybe this might help too. Go to your GTA IV main folder and open the LCPDFR folder and open the LCPDFR.ini and under main you shoud see a line that says "preloadallmodels=false" delete false and type in true, if you do not have that line add it, with "true" Im not really experienced about the crashing for callouts, im more experience of crashing when starting the game so i hope this helps :)

Try installing and using this tool, it "*ALLOWS*" a game to use over 2GB

Thanks for the help! I'll be sure to try that, and set preload models on, hopefully that will work out for me, I'll let you know, but anyways thanks!

Update:

Neither of the above fixes have helped in any way, I think it might be the error in the logs that is causing the LCPDFR to malfunction, as it runs fine with no lag on my PC.

Oh well thanks for atleast giving me a try :) More knowledge for me and you :) Im sorry that LCPDFR isnt working properly for you, just wait for someone els who's more experience to help you....Real bummer none of those work, you should put all your settings back to normal so the other members can help you with a clean set. Im still going to try to find a solution, thanks anyways for atleast giving me a try :)

Is it a legal copy of game?  Does it work without any mods (Wasteland and any other mods/plugins/scripts) you have? Do you have a legal patch too? Make sure that other versions of LCPDFR arent still in the GTA IV files. If these dont work, maybe some mod overwrote some important files of LCPDFR so uninstall LCPDFR and any mods (Dont uninstall them, just move the mods out of the folders exept for LCPDFR uninstall that) and install lcpdfr back with no mods and see if it works, then download mods one by one and see which one crashes when you install them :). Hopefully these help and answering the questions to make sure i have all important information.

Lol not legal patch, do you have a legal copy of the game (You bought the game from a trusted company) and the latest patch for GTA IV or GTA EFLC?

I am running on a completely legal Steam game of GTA IV, and I've had this underlying problem since I've installed LCPDFR under a clean copy of GTA IV.

Do you only crash when responding to wasteland callouts? If only wasteland callouts then try deleting it, but if its both LCPDFR and Waseland,  try reinstalling steam again, if you used automatic use manual, if you used maual use atomatic this time

Alright thanks for the help, I'll be sure to try that, and I'll let you know on the results. (And yes, it is both LCPDFR and Wasteland Callouts)
