How to get a 360 controller to work with ELSV8 and LCPDFR 1.1

I'm trying to get my 360 controller to work with LCPDFR 1.1 and ELSV8 but have no luck. I mainly just want to use it to pull people over, activate ELS, and siren.

Iv already looked on youtube and Jaso87 video didnt help one bit.

Some help from the community with as much detail as possible would be much appreciated thanks!

LCPDFR supports controllers without you having to do anything, but ELS does not.

i also use the Xbox controller but you will also need to use the keyboard. You press X on the controller to pull someone over. you will need to active lights/sirens by using keyboard functions. i LOVE the controller and i don't think i could ever play without it.
