Name of these sirens

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I have no idea if this is in the right section, but it is pretty random. So I hope it is in the right place.

Anyways, for years this has been annoying me. There are these really cool sirens, I hear them sometimes on the TV Show SouthLAnd once and a while, and even on a few Youtube videos.

I have searched several Siren Manufacturing websites with no luck, so I was hoping that some of you siren experienced members could help me out.

All the youtube videos that had them did not feature a link to where I could download them.

Here are the two videos I know of that have them. *The first video can be heard better since there is no music in the background.*

I looked at all the comments in the videos, with other people wanting them too. Only with the uploader not really listening; telling them that he uploaded them to a website (which he did not, I looked).

So does anyone know the name of these sirens? Like Federal Signal _______, or Whelen _______, Motorola_______, etc...

If not, would anyone be willing to make these sirens work with GTA IV (using Audcity or another sound editing program)? If so, I had a friend rip these out from the video (without the music). http://www.g1boy.com/test/siren.zip

If you could do that, the only thing you would have to do is seperate the Wail and the Yelp, and make sure that the Wail starts going down, not upward like most sirens.

Thank you fellow LCPDFR members!

Sounds similar to the sirens the NYPD uses, try searching that.

I did hear them on some of the NYPD Police Cars from the late 90's, but when I search it, the only thing that comes up is the Mark 7 or Mark 9 sirens.

Not sure, but these are the closest I could find. (Link in video's description)

Those are close, maybe I could even combine that Wail with the Yelp I have now. Then it would be very close.

If you want, I could possibly make the siren in the video you posted, the only problem is that it'd be a 2 tone instead of a 3.

That would be great! Thanks! Maybe you could just speed up the yelp for the 3rd tone. But if you could do that, it would be great!
