LCPDFR has crashed unexpectadly

Featured Replies

I re-installed GTA IV with the 1.0.7.0 patch. I also installed LCPDFR 1.0D (hotfix 1) and installed 'Double Doppler's MET Police Pack'. However when I start up GTA IV it says 'LCPDFR has stopped/crashed. Please restart your game' in the top right corner and also says 'Error in loader.loader' in white text. Oh, and also I have a few small mods like trafficflow and I have manually installed the taser. I am using the xlive asi loader

I have attached my diagnostic log and my lcpdfr log

dependencies failure.

Check the following:
Installation of netframework - Run the diagnostics tool. it will inform you of any netframe work failures. still as good measure. reinstall them anyway.
make sure your using the asi loader with LCPDFR.
loader.loader = asi loader. Something wrong with the script loader. or the programs used to run the scripts.
Also, be sure to have run windows update after installing netframework installations. this ensured the files installed / reinstalled that windows uses, are up to date and current for operation.

Thanks for the quick response. I have ran the diagnostic tool and the only thing that comes up with an error is the log file. I already tried re-installing the other stuff on the diagnostic tool. I am still coming up with an error.

Thanks for your support and feedback, I have actually managed to get rid of the error. The error occurred because of one of my mods, (I think it was ELS). I dragged everything into my base game directory, including advancedhook, scripthook etc. This managed to create an error. To fix this I got the manual installation zip file for 1.0D and dragged in just the base game files (advancedhook, scripthook, dsound etc), and this has got rid of my error.

Not a problem, I try to help when i can.

You know, i have been getting some wierd errors, I might try this resolution of yours to resolve the little bugs i still have.
Iv'e just used the auto installation after installing the little mods i like. ...
Ive spent hours troubleshooting this, reading forums, I think I should be a game tester lol.

Also check permissions, I had a issue with that, If running steam, be sure the directory out of " steamapps " (" grandtheftautoIV ") is not read only.
I made the mistake of changing just the directory - steamapps -> grandtheftautoIV -> GTAIV*
This caused a variety of issues
if you have the steam installation that is..

I actually don't have the steam version, but permissions can sometimes bug the game.

Also I have another problem with GTA IV. About a year ago when I used to play lcpdfr, the game ran so smoothly on the highest settings. However in the last few months I found my GTA IV case and I installed it, but I noticed that I was getting render errors and constant crashes. I don't know why?? I am still using the same pc as before, however I have more ram in. I am confident that my pc can handle GTA IV and lcpdfr as it can handle other games like Battlefield 3, but I have no idea why the textures don't load.

Here are my pc specs:

Processor: AMD A8-6600K APU with Radeon HD Graphics

Speed: 3.9 GHz

Cores: 4

Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 8570D

Dedicated Memory: 768mb

Total Memory: 4.0GB

RAM: 16GB

Operating System: Windows 7 Professional Edition 64 Bit

Hard Drive: 1TB/1000GB

Hope you can help as it is really annoying that I can barely play on low settings any more.

:/ - When is the last time you have Reinstalled windows?

Back up your data first.

Before reinstalling windows you can try to reinstall drivers and other resources.

Sometimes lag can be produced simply from a fragmented harddisk.

Also, Cooling. Always besure your computer is FREE OF DUST.

Overheating = failing boards and other hardware.

Look into virus' that mybe infecting your pc aswell.

Updates for the game have created a higher demand for graphics, also, the game run primaraily on your card.

update your card - 1 gb or higher is recommended.

GTX630 - 60.00USD one year ago. Im sure its cheaper now. Runs great.

but I wish I got the 2 gb...
