ELS and/or Whelen Liberty Issue

Recommended Posts

I added this lightbar to this CVPI and now the lights partially stay on as if it were wired to the car as day running lights. Don't know what to do to fix this because about half of the lights work, but don't appear to have the red and blue textures on them. Please help!

Your hierarchy needs to look like this:

extra_1
   extra_1_L0
extra_2
   extra_2_L0
extra_3
   extra_3_L0
extra_4
   extra_4_L0
extra_5
   extra5
      extra5_L0
extra_6
   extra6
      extra6_L0
extra_7
   extra_7_L0
extra_8
   extra_8_L0
extra_9
   extra9
      extra9_L0

There can't be extra_10, extra_40, etc. and extra_5, extra_6, and extra_9 are set up differently than the rest.

Thanks!

Pardon my ignorance on Zmodeler (I'm clearly not the best) but, as you can see, "extra_1" through "extra_4" do not have drop down menus and I'm not sure what you mean by "extra_5, extra_6, and extra_9 are set up differently than the rest." :[

And when I change the numbers to say "extra_1" I receive an error stating that there is already a layer with that name

You can make dummies for the extras by changing the tool that has a cone shape to "Dummy Helper" by clicking the drop down arrow, then click on the tool. It will add a dummy to the hierarchy - just rename and move it to the right place, then you can drag the L0's, etc. into that. If you look at my hierarchy you can see how extras 5, 6, and 9 are different. Look closely.

You need to attach extras with the same name using the attach tool - see this tutorial

Edit: Also, extra_# shouldn't be the actual light texture. It should just be a dummy - extra_#_L0 should be the light, and placed inside extra_# in the hierarchy.
