[REQ] Is it possible to take the white out of this lightbar?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I recently downloaded this vehicle, '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

I absolutely love the vehicle except for one thing the light bar is overpowered with white where I would like it just red and blue... I will attach the texture also... I have no skills like I have said before so if anyone can help that would be great.

Thanks,

Is the white on the lightbar linked to the WRNL? As in, when you enable only WRNL ingame, do they light up/flash?

If so, then you can either disable them entirely by setting the default lighting pattern to 2 (and enabling ForcePatForLstg) in the vehicle's ELS config, or, if you still want them on but just want them red and blue, I think you can change that in the vehicle textures and then change Extra_5 and Extra_6 (I think? or any that say "white"?) to red and blue.

Yes, please, attach the texture(s).

I'm sorry I uploaded the texture and forgot to hit attach when I posted. It is up there now. And no the white in the light bar is always on... It's hard to explain you would be able to see what I mean if you used the truck. But like I said the texture has now been uploaded. I edited my original post.

You should be able to just quickly edit the light textures...

I have no idea how to do that. The best I can do is change my ELS lights to all blue... But even that I mess up because the lightbar will still show up as red just the reflections are blue. Lol (That's on a different vehicle entirely though)

Also if I can get the screenshot function from steam to work with my gta 4 again I will take a few screenshots to show you what I am talking about... Otherwise I am out of ideas on how to show you. :/

I believe in the idea of give a man a fish, feed him for a day, teach him to fish you feed him for a lifetime. Learning this will save you a lot of time and texturing is something that anyone can do.

First, I suggest you download this

'?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

Then, open up the file you attached to your post.

The easiest way to do what you want would be to import ("open as layers" if you're using gimp) the "various light textures" file onto its own separate layer. Then crop the "various light textures" image until the specific light colour you want is the only thing on that layer. Then, simply move this over the white light texture on the file you attached. Finally, copy and paste the cropped image over any other lights you want to change the colour of, and then export the new image.
