K so everything was working like 10 mins ago, i installed a muscle car sound mod thought that was making my game crash, so i imported the backup in- also thought it was the muscle car i installed, wasn't that either, those are the only thing's i can think of, help?

Try downloading the original files from another place, there was a link mentioned on this site before, you'll have to search it though as we are not allowed to post download links for original files anymore.

It may be that when you made your backup, it became corrupt whilst you copied it. That's the only cause I can think of to be honest.

I still have the original vehicles, but for some reason all of my engine backup's got deleted, i've checked goodle but i can't find anything, too be honest i really don't want to reinstall, i have been retexturing the city for about a month now, and i'll lose ALL of it and have to restart :(
