I recently downloaded an NYPD Lamborghini Gallardo mod for GTA IV. I want to use it by replacing the Infurnus, however I only want police peds to drive it. Is there a way I can edit the cargrp.dat file and change anything to suit my needs? Thanks, Ash.

As far as I am aware, you can only have two vehicles in the "police" group, alternatively you could use traffic flow, you'll be able to configure what cars TF spawns in the ini.

If you replace the infernus with it then I don't think it will have working sirens or a police computer. I'd recommend replacing maybe the NOOSE cruiser or the FBI car and using one of Nutt's modifications to make it spawn in traffic.

Although if you really want to replace the infernus you could probably take a look at what Nutt has done and do something similar for the infernus.

She probably only wan't to replace the infernus casue it has the infernus speed and sound, just edit the vehicles.dat in your common data folder, scroll down to noose or fbi change the 5TH line (noose,noose,car,NOOSE,NOOSE) change the one highlighted in blue to INFERNUS click the "x" in the corner, save to desktop and drag the file from your desktop to the original vehicles.dat file, it will replace it, this is not a mod, it just switches engine sound's around, i switched all my police vehicles to ADMIRAL and they all sound like a crown vic, same police handling but no police scanner you can get live feed's to compensate, hope this help's! FYI BE SURE TO ONLY CHANGE THE 5TH LINE, IF YOU CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE YOUR GAME COULD CRASH.

Also if you do this the vehicle of your choosing will have the infernus speed, and their's lot's of handling lines out there. but i don't think you'll need one :)

You can't replace it with the infernus, for the cops will not spawn in the car. The cops will only spawn in cop type cars. Police, police2, noose, polpatriot, ect. So, Silmory has the right idea. Just make sure your vehicle.ide line is setup correctly and you are using the correct handling line.

Just like to add, changing the vehicle sound to an Infernus will also cause the game to label it as an infernus when you enter it.

Most likely an easy fix, but I didn't bother much when I ported the stinger from TBoGT

I have it in GTA4 as well, but I just have it using the Presidente's engine sounds. For it is, after all, a Presidente.

1 question though, could i export the civillian buffalo from TBoGT and import it into IV?
