LCPD:FR Crash and SMPA60 Multiplayer

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I am trying to play LCPD:FR (1.0d) with my friend.

He uses Steam and GTA IV 1.0.7.0 and I am using the Retail version of GTA IV (also on 1.0.7.0).

We both made a fresh Installation of gta and only installed LCPD:FR (no other mods!).

In Singleplayer everything works fine.

But we have a few problems in multiplayer.

When I host a game, we can play LCPD:FR for about 10-15 Minutes without problems.

But then, the game of my friend crashes (he only get a normal Crash (GTA IV not working anymore). But then, about 30 seconds later, i get the SMPA60 error.

We dont use any other mods and we dont have any 100% savegame or something like this. Only a fresh gta 4 with LCPD:FR

But why do we get this errors? (At first it crashes by my friend, then I get the SMPA60 error.)

Maybe both of you installed wrong the LCPDFR, i looked around and the SMPA60 everywhere in the original Rockstar games forum (https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/200145266-How-to-fix-GTA-IV-FATAL-ERROR-SMPA60-in-GTA-IV-for-PC) and this by 1 if your modded car installed wrong so maybe you or your friends have a mod or modded car what is wrong

Like I said, we DO NOT have any other mods.

We have exactly the same LCPD:FR and NO mods, no Cars, no graphic mods, no savegames, nothing. Just LCPD:FR

Ok if both of you not using mods how do you installed the LCPDFR? automatic or manual?

If everything works fine in single player, then your problem is most likely with Multiplayer. Keep in mind that LCPD:FR isn't supported with MP and was only made to work on single player. That being said, both of you should change a few settings in the .ini file (disabling autosave, preload models etc)

Also SMPA60 errors are usually caused by mods, so you and your friend should double check to see if any mods weren't left in the directory after a reinstall (it might have said the game is uninstalled but modded files could still be present). If that doesn't work and you really want to play MP, You might need to downgrade from 1.0 to 0.95 (although it's no longer being supported some people have said that 0.95 is more stable in multiplayer).
