Cannot Command or Arrest Suspects During Pursuits

Featured Replies

Hello,

I've uninstalled and re installed LCPD:FR 1.0d (Hotfix 1.) numerous times, and I'm still having the same problem.  In free roam, in multiplayer (and probably party mode for that matter), if I initiate a traffic stop, and as I'm approaching the window, or I'm at the window, the suspect takes off fleeing, once I finally get the vehicle stopped and I move in with my weapon to order them out of the vehicle, it will not give me the prompt up in the left-hand corner of the screen saying "press E to order the suspect out of the vehicle", nor does it give me that "ping" noise it makes when aiming at a suspect.  Even if I get them out of the vehicle by pressing F to throw them out, it won't give me any sort of prompt to let me arrest them, or order them to stop.  They just keep running on foot.  Even when I deploy my Taser, they still get back up and continue to run away, sometimes screaming.  AI officers can take them into custody, but I can't do a thing about it except run after them and slow them down.  In single player, it works perfectly fine.

I don't have anyone I know that plays LCPD:FR, so it's not like I need to play multiplayer, I'm just trying to get to the bottom of what's causing this issue.

It happens in multiplayer, only if they take off on me as I'm approaching the window, or I'm at the window.  If I initiate a traffic stop and they just take off right then and there (no pullover), I'm able to give them orders as normal, and arrest them as normal.

I had my Taser uninstalled, and while it was uninstalled, I believe I was able to arrest them then if they ran from me (I can't recall).  I re installed the Taser using the method posted on here about manually installing the Taser in 1.0, but I'm still unable to take suspects into custody, or give them any orders for that matter, during the situation explained above.

Not sure if it's LCPD:FR, or my game, or what.  It's just like they're broken, and unresponsive to my commands.  It's basically acting like if I wasn't in the mod at all, and just pointing a gun at some random ped while pressing E.  I get the blue dot that appears on the suspect while aiming at them, but it doesn't give me any prompt at all to give them commands, or that "ping" sound.

Any suggestions?  This is the only thing that I can't figure out, and that's bugging me.
