Hi, having got it all working very nicely, I have searched but cannot find answer to my problem. I'm using the new 1.0d having installed with xlive.dll and running in administrator. I have no other mods added yet. want to get it all right first.

 

I have done the tutorial, very nice but cannot get back to it? the chevron in the rest room is not there.

 

When behind a vehicle, I press left thumb and select traffic stop nothing happens? I have check the config file and it is all set up for this. I have tried using the shift key and that doesn't work. again config file for keyboard showing shift key... do I need to re-map it to another key?

 

I have tried just blipping the sirens, the car pulls over, but when I get out there are no chevrons as in the tutorial? I have to approach the car, and aim a weapon at the driver... a bit of excessive force?

 

Any suggestions?

 

Ideally what I feel would really be nice is to have a quick option (perhaps a hot key or on install) just to use xbox controller to control cars and when on foot, and then use keyboard for other commands? It will take time but can I just disable all the xbox 360 commands in the config file to achieve this. I feel with the actual gta4 game controls and the lcpdfr controls there is too much duplication which is causing problems.

 

 

To stop a vehicle with controller press X. You have to be close enough for him to say pull over.

Also the chevron will appear for tutorial in the police station in the same room you get your partner.

Thanks, just tested 'X' works fine, but when I get out of the police car, there still isn't any chevrons, there was adialog box opened, but car drove off before I could read it... I'll look elsewhere in the forums, as I'm sure I saw the keys for xbox input to report a pursuit. The chevrons in the partner room, still not there for tutorial. Since doing various things, to get the LCPDFR to run... from the other @will not run ' thread, the game also doen't log into windows live, not bothered as I'm not an online player, but the game does save, which it shouldn't without 'live'?

OK so are you able to pull over cars now? Be sure you are close enough and it prompts you to exit your vehicle before you get out. If not the suspect drives off and you gotta start the stop over
