HI, Sorry I thought I had posted in Support, but as you have deleted my request for help, I feel its apoor show as Ihave now spent over 8 hours trying to get it to work...

I have done everything in all the previous threads on this matter, and just updated .net 4.5.2 and it has stopped working again. A system restore has worked, but If I update my windows it will stop again. also Windows live has stopped too.

I've resolved the issue, have .net 4.5.2 and turned off windows update. I will manually check for windows updates and only install files not associated with .net 4.5.2.

I have spent hours with this problem and although there are several threads on this subject, surely it would make sense to list the fix in a topic? if you haven't already I've been all over the place for info and really cannot remember if there is one.

On my computer I now have several c++ re-distributable programs, do I need the all? my oldest being C++ 2005.

I'd like to say thanks for the help, but you haven't apart from deleting my original request as it was allegedly in the wrong topic, but on checking the top thread shows support request?

I also understand it easy for me to complain, I'm sure I, (we) do not realise the time and effort put in in producing this fantastic (when it works) Mod. perhaps the option to allow old versions to be downloaded could be considered, As I'm told ELS8 doesn't work? so I'm reluctant to do any other mods, and just stick with what works

hi I'm glad you got your game working. ELS 8 does work so you shouldn't have a problem. If you use it rmemeber to install ELS capable vehicles.

Just remember always make a copy of your GTA IV folder before you make changes in case you screw up. I have five back up copies lol. That allows you the chance to add mods and see which ones will work.

On the C++ I would keep them all. Is best to not mess with those if ya don't know what they are for..which I don't hahah. Good luck :D
