Hey all,

 

I have been having a problem where I have absolutely no backup units on pursuits. I call the pursuit in (Alt+E) but no backup units ever show. If I call a helicopter however he shows up and supports. Anyone know what could be causing this issue and or how to fix it?

Remember with the new update backup can be called using the qam.

Hold capslock and hit the tab button to take you through the menus.

Also make sure you are letting dispatch know when someone escapes by vehicle by pushing down and X.

"Normal" backup is called with Alt+B FYI. 

Alt+B is generally for foot backup though, like at a shooting. If you call in backup with Alt+B on a pursuit they will just go to where you called for them at and sit there..generally. Also I hit Alt+E to inform dispatch that I am in a pursuit and I just have no luck with getting backup. It worked fine before the 1.0d update.

well just try the qam and see how it works. For me, I get back up in a vehicle pursuit after a few blocks as long as I pushed down and X when prompted when they first escape.

I kinda like it for short chases since twenty cops don't make sense. But usually by end of long chase there can be several cruisers with me.
