Gun won't show up in game...

Featured Replies

So here's the deal...I've been modding GTA IV since it came out, and I haven't come across this specific problem until now, and I'm stumped.

I downloaded a silenced gun to replace the stock desert eagle from GTA IV/EFLC.  It was a typical installation (using OpenIV and replacing w_eagle.wdr and w_eagle.wtd), but when I played the game (EFLC), it was the stock desert eagle. I closed the game and replaced it again, only for the same result.

So I figured ok, something's wrong with this gun I downloaded. So I downloaded another one, which I've used in the past no problems. Same installation process as before, and when I booted EFLC again, it was STILL the stock DE. I quit the game and went into OpenIV and viewed the model, and it's the downloaded gun!

What gives, and how do I fix this?? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: *sigh*...Just discovered EFLC has its own DE and it overrides the stock one. Changed the files to w_e2_eagle and it worked fine. -_-

My apologies, please close this topic.

I know what your problem is. In TBOGT's folder there is its own 'weapons.img'. That features all of TBOGT's weapons, in addition to a couple of model overrides. You want to be replacing the gun in that image file.

Here is the directory; EFLCTBoGTpcmodelscdimages.

Cheers.

Yep, I discovered it the moment after I posted this. Thanks for the response though! I had no idea EFLC actually had weapon overrides. I thought both IV and EFLC guns always co-existed. Hmph.

Issue resolved. In the future, please post in the proper section, which would be GTA IV Support Requests.

Nothing to see here!
