ELS.asi error

Featured Replies

hey guys,

wanted to say great job first of all on everything...ive had a number of problems with lcdpfr but all have been fixed on this support site obviously except for this one. my problem is that i get a gta app crash with this error "ELS.asi" and never in a particular time..ive looked and read other posts about this issue and attempted to fix it but still keeps coming up. Like i said though, dont have any other problems with the game, sometimes it runs perfectly fine for days but other times i can get this error everytime i play..very weird.

help if you can! :)

The problem is with ELS, not specifically related to LCPDFR.

Try downloading version 5 of ELS as opposed to version 6, it is apparently more stable.

FyI: ELS is the Emergency Lighting System mod for custom modded cars with extra lighting/siren systems that are more advanced than what the default emergency vehicles have. It is installed as 2 files in your root gtaiv folder, ELS.asi and the ELS configuration file.

so just download els v5, copy and replace in gta iv root folder? as well do i replace dsound and the script even though i already have them or is that part of the els file?

Next time, posts similar to this should belong in the Content/Modifications section.

So what you want to do is to take the .asi and the .ini file and put it into your Directory. As well as the Scripthook.dll. You put all of those in your directory. Don't put anything elsewhere. Just put all of what I mentioned in your Directory.

If this is your first time using it, I also recommend putting the visualsettings into your Directory as well. You can find it with the archive by going to Common > Data and visualsettings. Put that into your Directory as well. What it does is it gives your light a brighter spark when it is flashing......looks better.

Hope this helped!
