Some questions about multiplayer.

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm a French player so I will try to type in english correctly.

With fews friends we've been playing this mod in singleplayer, nobody of us encountered an issue or a crash while playing. Then we saw all the videos of people who play this mod in multiplayer.

So we wanted to play in multiplayer and unfortunately it doesn't work as good as the videos because we have many crashes during the game.

The things is we don't know why those people can play without crash (their videos usually last 1 hours without problems in) and why we can not play for more than 15 minutes.

Here are the details of the configuration of our games (we have the same):

- Steam Version

- GTA IV patch 1.0.7.0

- No mods (like cars, scripts) except LCPDFR script

And that's all.

We saw at the start of the game: type netconnect "ipofthehost" in the console. Which console do you mean, the % one? Does it really works ?

If you have any idea, or advice, I would be very thankful to have support. Thanks for your time. Good Night.

1.0c is perfectly acceptable in it's multiplayer stability, you just have to know what features to use. Disable callouts, use Bravehearts policing script. Do NOT use the LCPDFR 1.0 built in ANPR. Use Braveheart's Plate reader and speed radar. Use low poly, tried and tested vehicles and minimize your script usage. It takes a lot of trial and error but my group is producing a multiplayer pack that is very promising, and sessions are lasting upwards of an hour or more before crashing or requiring a restart.
