Installing RC2 Question

Featured Replies

I have RC1 already installed. Can I just install RC2 over it with no problems or do I have to do a clean install?

I looked around but could not find the answer.

Thanks!

I installed RC2 over RC1 with no problems. Just follow the auto installer and accept the defaults. That will give you an updated .ini file as well. You will only run into issues if you try to go advanced, but the installer will tell you don't do this unless you know what you are doing etc. So it's pretty much fool proof :)

Short answer: yes it works fine. You don't need a clean install.

I'm sure when you go to install RC2, it will just copy over RC1 anyways. If you are having problems, go to your scripts folder (in gta4's directory), delete LCPDFR stuff and reinstall RC2.
