{Zmodeler} Emis lights to non emis

Featured Replies

I have two questions in regards to Zmodeler.

I was going to start a request thread requesting a Taxi pack with just the advert board and non emissive ads but decided to try it out myself and learn something new and now im here. So I successfully imported the GTA IV taxi into Zmodeler with no errors and want to remove the emissive lighting that the ads give off and just have it as a non emissive texture instead but don't have the slightest clue on where to start. I removed it as an extra and attached it to the body itself ( I somewhat accomplished something here) but it still illuminates. I'm completely lost. I've searched for tutorials but all I find are importing cars ,ELS mapping, wig wags mapping, adding lightbars and other stuff pertaining to ELS and lightbars.

So for my first question, How do I turn an emissive texture from a light source into a regular texture?

second question, How do I detach the taxi Advertisement board extra and export it as a .wft so I can import it to another vehicle?

Go to your materials editor 24688622.png and look for the material that illuminates, then replace the "lightsemissive" shader with something like "interior2". Of course you can always dim the texture....

Apart from renaming will you also need to change the setup of the material. Interior2 as mentioned above for example only requires the base texture and the specular map, it's usually the second and the fourth texture you need to remove from the original lightemissive material.
