GTA IV does not open after installing LCPDFR 0.95 RC1

Featured Replies

Hey,

I just installed the latest version of the LCPDFR mod and when I try to open the game, I get this error message: EFCreateError in module DSOUND.dll at 000116C5. Cannot create file "C:\ ... asilog.txt". Access is denied.

After that, I get it would say: The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142).

My GTA IV version is the Razor1911 version, I am not sure if the problem is due to that :whistling: .

Could someone please help? If there is no solution, how would I reverse this installation so I could play the game (even without the mod)?

Thanks!

Run GTAIV.exe or LaunchGTAIV.exe as admin. Also you could try running LCPDFR installer as admin.

Could we also see a diagnostics log?

Alright, thanks a lot! It worked when I ran as admin...

But I need your help.. how do I use the mod? I mean how do you play as a cop and all that?

To start the mod: Press ALT+P. Then head to a cop station, Choose a model, then leave the station. Then you can choose a car! :D

Have fun
