Converting Cars to GTAIV

Featured Replies

So, I am wondering, how could I like convert a car from one game to another, as I would like to do a car mod but I dont think I can do one from scratch yet. I already have a vehicle in mind I'd like to convert I would like to know how.

I found this tutorial very helpful when I did my first conversion:

Depending on the model that you're using and whether if it has separate components (doors, hood, trunk, etc) you may have to do more or less work, but this tutorial helped me get started.

It's not the most detailed though, as it definitely doesn't explain some things like Selection mode, but it's easy to figure out either by experimenting or asking other members.

Feel free to send me a message if you need help, and I'll get back to you as soon as I have the chance. :)

Scratch modeling is definitely a challenge, no doubt. I have only ever done two scratch modeled cars for IV, and they literally took me months to finish. Converting is the way to go, unless the models don't already exist.

Thanks for this guide.
