Me and my buddy are planning on making a police/military game on Cryengine 3

And we were planning to have your character look at his holster, unlock it, and pull the gun out! (all in first person of course)

I Hope someone takes your idea into consideration, i would but i don't know jackshit about that kind of stuff lol

Im pretty sure it would be hard to make any animations other than that ones in game. Im no expert though.

Someone could take the animation from GTA V where the cop pulls it out of his holster. Or take the one from IV and cut out the part where he aims his gun.

I've been looking at animations for quite awhile to get a full understand ing of the animations. I want the cops to actually tally on the shoulder mics instead of pulling out a walkie talkie, and how they draw they're sidearms and reload.I've got it 80% figured out and am gonna experiment with some animations to see if gta iv can handle it. Be on the lookout for it.

I believe there are a few tutorials out there for IV animation rigging. Some like H1Vltg3 use Maya to do it.
